A virus with many variants feels like being trapped inside a Jorogumo web. Conclusion: This isolation-inspired poem from last year is based off an museum artifact.
YŌKAI
Lone night heron in war-like labor. Losing balance during the task. Carrying the weight of what the virus asks. Finding prosperity for the family. Going to work and risking it all, or going hungry...but don't fall and don't fail, no matter how frail. Telework and fight like hell. Kick and scream, but live the dream in your wartime scene. Carry the babies on your back if you must, just Trust in God. It's painted on the money, but isn't funny we rarely touch the stuff right now. We can't even use it to Wipe right now because some tricksters really made a mockery of our economy and our sanity in this Calamity we call 2020. Hunt with agility, flip it on its side and ride the river on two weasels and find the light like Bennu Collect secrets, wear masks hold weapons (if they ask) because we all must multitask to blast this virus back to space without a trace with our swords in hand. "Leave with haste, Ancient Onibi! Go away from what we hold dear Go! Go! Back from whenst you came! Poem by Margaret Viboolsittiseri, 2020
