#dennislinn #veteranartist #airforce #arts #visualarts DETAILS: Over the past couple of weeks I have had the great honor to get to learn about artist Dennis Linn. One quick trip to his website and you can see why I really appreciate his art. I love the message behind many of his pieces, as well. Take, for instance, his YouTube video, which is all about the endangered animals on our planet or another recalling his feature in the 10th Biennial Artists Chat (Video: 41:16 mins - 44:00 mins) where he explains his massive project painting 23 animal murals on the pediatrics ward of the 3rd floor of his local hospital in Rapid City. Please, check out his website, defense.gov feature, or hospital ABC News feature: KOTA Dennis Linn retired from the United States Air Force. He has a wide range of experience in academia and was a Professor of Art at the Air Force Academy. He has held positions as Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies, teaching Air Force ROTC at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, was the Director of the Journalism Department at the Defense Information School., has been the Director of Public Affairs at Ellsworth AFB, SD and at McClellan Air Force Base in Sacramento, and was the Chief of Plans and Policy for Public Affairs at Headquarters European Command in Stuttgart-Vaihingen, Germany. His last assignments were Inspector General at Ellsworth and Chief of Protocol at Osan, Korea. #art #poetry #painting #darklore #walkabouts #museums #vispo #myths #literature #music #legends #dance #folklore #storytelling #maggsvibo #humanities #fairytales #blog #repository #talltales #gothichorror #festivals #artexhibitions #books #galleries #augmentedreality #exploration #AI #robots

DEAR READER
Welcome to my literature, music, and visual poetry project. My blog represents a method for deciphering the fragments left behind in the Anthropocene. Writers use ashes as a metaphorical device in storytelling. Have you ever wondered about the symbolism of ashes? Archaeological fragments of tablet, papyrus, bone, scroll, and pottery are recognizable the world over. In our digital era, however, our lost folkloric works disintegrate into dust. In this sense, I consume the silver flakes and use my he{art] as a vessel to rise from dystopic wastelands. I share lore through the oral tradition. Ashes to Ashes we continue on ∞ to infinity ∞ We are ash. We are stories. We are star dust. We are eternal.
