DETAILS: As I write this blog, the United States is actively engaged in "Operation Epic Fury." And on this week 6 Years ago, I attended Oxford Brookes Poetry Centre at Oxford Brookes University, UK. Because of the connections I made through attendance at this workshop and the larger community I have gained from it, I've been able to carve out the goals of the blog (which is now an entire website). Take a look at the page I've developed for Oxford Brookes Poetry Centre. It shows our collection, which I co-authored and am immensely proud of, a documentary miniseries which aired on British Forces Broadcasting Services, a case study, medical health journal citation, and magazine articles from BLESMA.
MALIK AMEER CRUMPLER DETAILS: New update with a more comprehensive page for this prolific artist. Take a look by clicking the image or the button. Then like, subscribe and follow Crumpler's work wherever and whenever you find it: DETAILS: Book boost for "Predators, Reapers & Deadlier Creatures" by author and veteran, Matthew James Jones. As mentioned in an earlier blog post, Jones and I know of one another through our military service connections.
DETAILS: Another episode of putty vispo whereby I take some putty out in the wild and squish it onto an object to lift up an impression (in this case, I used a metal pothole cover) and then cover the impression with ink and leave that mark on some paper.
#puttyvispo #maggsvibo #demonstrativeart DETAILS: Special thanks to Michelle Sterkowicz of the Ederle Art Center for providing me with a stockpile of rubber stamps. When I left Hawaii, most of my art supplies were donated. What a treasure trove to get all of these!
#vibo #ederleartcenter #michellesterkowicz DETAILS: Enheduanna and the women of Mesopotamia is an incredible lecture and music concert performed by members of the Morgan Library and Museum.

DEAR READER
Welcome to my literature, music, and visual poetry project. My blog represents a method for deciphering the fragments left behind in the Anthropocene. Writers use ashes as a metaphorical device in storytelling. Have you ever wondered about the symbolism of ashes? Archaeological fragments of tablet, papyrus, bone, scroll, and pottery are recognizable the world over. In our digital era, however, our lost folkloric works disintegrate into dust. In this sense, I consume the silver flakes and use my he{art] as a vessel to rise from dystopic wastelands. I share lore through the oral tradition. Ashes to Ashes we continue on ∞ to infinity ∞ We are ash. We are stories. We are star dust. We are eternal.
